All The Rage: 80s Makeup for 2010

Loving trending up the sequins, fringes, neons, and slouches but not sure you’re ready to get that crazy with the 80’s makeup you’ve spent pretty much forever thinking was grotesque? I hear ya.

Here’s a few ideas for just a touch of an 80’s makeup reference without going all Jem and the Holograms on yourself. These looks are great for students for everyday, but, depending on the job, working gals may want to reserve them for nights out, weekend shopping extravaganzas, or Coachella.

-One bright upper lid line or lid shadow cover. Level of expertise for this look is ridiculously low, plus it’s a simple and cute way to spring forward.

-Glitter lid. Start with a clear eye gloss so the glitter has something to stick to. Then use a small paddle brush and dab in the glitter. Festive, but not over doing it.

-Heavy bottom liner. My personal fav. Let it get thicker as you work your way out along the inner lid. Stop wherever you feel comfortable, taking out the end only as far as you like. I like to add extra mascara for a little bit of tarantula lashes.

Heavy Under-eye Liner

The makeup remover has really overstayed it’s welcome on my left eye today, so I’m going to leave it at that. Have fun!
