Derma Danger!: The Cure For Puffy Eyes
Long summer days and short summer nights leave Jane with bags of puff around her eyes. Here is what I prescribe for my sleep-deprived brides to get refreshed, or at least looking like it.
1. Put the puff bags on ice. Cucumbers don’t work because they’re magical, it’s because they’re cold. You can also get a washcloth wet and put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes. This reduces the swelling by constricting the amount of fluid that can flow around in the there.
2. Apply topical caffeine. I keep MAC’s Fast Response Eye Cream in my kit. A two-in-one for cold plus caffeine is chilled and wet teabags. This helps shrink the blood cells.
About 10 minutes for the whole procedure should result in as good as it’s going to get.
